Albany State Baseball Receives Votes in NCBWA NCAA Division II Regional Poll

Albany State (5-2) has received votes in the NCBWA Division II South Region national rankings released by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) on Wednesday March 3rd.

The Rams, who scheduled a mid-week game at Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL on March 3, return home to face Spring Hill College March 6 in weekend doubleheader action and continue its road swing with a mid-week doubleheader at University Montevallo in Montevallo, AL. 

Albany State’s Golden Rams start SIAC conference play at home on March 19-20, with a four-game series of two scheduled doubleheaders with Savannah State University. 

Lachian Ross leads the way for Albany State, batting at a .500 clip with 14 hits, one home run and nine runs batted in. Will Barry is second on the team hitting .400 with one home run and seven runs batted in. On the mound, Michael Reddick is off to a good start at 2-0 with a 2.35 earned run average and 16 strikeouts, while Aaron Ginn’s 2.08 earned run average leads the team and Malik Barrington is 1-1 with a 2.45 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 14.2 innings of work.
