This weekend, Historically Black College and University (HBCU) baseball teams will be in action with scheduled games giving fans a peek at how the season may shake out.
After the 2020 season was unexpectedly cut short because of the COVID-19 pandemic, conference play makes its triumphant return Friday.
A full schedule of HBCU baseball games are on tap this weekend and now that the season is in full tilt, there will be some exciting match ups on the diamond.
All 10 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) teams are scheduled to open the 2021 conference season this weekend.
Fans in the stands won’t be as packed as usual, but baseball is back in the SWAC.
While this weekend represents the early stages of the 2021 regular season, no doubt it brings us a joyous moment in time… rivalries. Rivalries are the best part of SWAC baseball, complete with good-natured ribbing and fantastic traditions. Every SWAC team has its share of rivals, both within the conference and out, with many of them squaring off this weekend.
The SWAC will have more talent than ever before from the top to the bottom. There are no gimmes on the conference schedule. Competition will be ferocious starting this weekend.
