West Virginia State Baseball Receives Votes in Latest NCBWA Division II Atlantic Region Poll

The West Virginia State Yellow Jackets are receiving votes in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Atlantic Region poll released on Tuesday, March 23.

West Virginia State is 8-4 overall this season, with a 2-2 mark in the Mountain East Conference (MEC).

It’s not easy to become recognized at the national level, but head coach Sean Loyd deserves to be ranked in the top 10.

So far, the season is highlighted by defeating Franklin Pierce this past March 4th in the USA Baseball NTC Tournament 5-3. Franklin Pierce is currently ranked No. 5 the the NCBWA East Region.

Next up for West Virginia State is a doubleheader MEC conference game versus Fairmont State University March 26 and a doubleheader hosting Frostburg State University on March 27 at Calvin L. Bailey Field, Institute, WV.
