The West Virginia State University baseball team, after receiving votes in the previous National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division II Atlantic Region Top 10 Poll for Week 6 (March 24), has climbed to the No. 9th spot in the National Poll announced on Wednesday March 31st.
After sweeping a doubleheader over Fairmont State March 27th, and splitting a doubleheader with Frostburg State March 28, going 3-1, the Yellow Jackets have moved to 7-1 in the Mountain East Conference (MEC), with a 10-4 overall and regional record.
WVSU has gone 8-2 in its last ten ball games.

- Offensively, Matt Harrison is a leader for WVSU hitting .378, with 17 hits, an on base percentage of .500, 16 runs batted in and five home runs.
