The Southern University baseball program recognized 30 of its student-athletes who earned at or above a 3.0 grade-point average (GPA) making the Dean’s List, including the ones that achieved a perfect 4.0 grade-point average for the fall 2020 semester. Ninety percent of the baseball roster registered a 3.0 GPA or better this fall.

Jacob Snyder and Hampton Hudson, both playing an extra year of eligibility in 2021 granted by the NCAA because of the worldwide spread of the COVID-19, were fall 2020 graduates.
According to head coach Chris Crenshaw “all of the credit goes to the players and their hard work. I want to personally thank our athletic department and academic team, Athletic Director Dr. Trayvean Scott, Academics and Student-Athlete Development Denzel Lewis and our Academics Director Savanna Smith for helping the success of my players in the classroom.”
