Preseason Overview:

The North Carolina A&T Aggies return the majority of its lineup and pitching staff from 2023. Key departures are Cort Maynard, Cam Brantley, and Xavier Meachem. Meachem was a 10th round MLB Draft selection the 293rd overall pick on July 10, 2023 by the Miami Marlins.

The team will have a great combination of talent and experience. The Aggies return starting pitching that accumulated almost 300 innings pitched from last year, relievers and six of the everyday position players from 2023. This team has a much better understanding of what it will take to win in the Costal Athletic Association (CAA) and the day in day out week to week grind in a top college baseball conference.

Canyon Brown, Camden Jackson, Tre Williams are top returning hitters and should anchor an improved offense from 2023.

Keep an eye out for freshman Infielder JT Taylor, who really impressed the coaching staff in fall ball and will push to be immediate impact in the line. AJ Jones, a junior infielder who transferred in from Gardner-Webb University, hit over .300 in the Coastal Plains League this past summer and carried that success into the fall period.

Diego Barrett, a right handed pitcher from Potomac State, could be a big addition to the mound staff. He had an exceptional fall, as did Angel Ortiz, a transfer from Cochise College.
