Miles College Selects Milton Barney as Its Next Head Baseball Coach

Milton Barney has been named the head coach of the Miles College Golden Bears baseball program as announced by the athletic department this past January 5, 2024.

The interest in Barney was significant based on his track record and coaching experience at the HBCU level and ultimately that track record set him apart. He’s made an immediate impact at every coaching level, including at Mississippi Valley State University last season winning 15 ball games compared to 10 in 2023 and no wins during both of MVSU 2020-2021 seasons. He is an energetic, innovative, and focused coach. With his hire, Barney will turn the program back to being an SIAC conference contender.
