As the HBCU baseball season inches closer, Lane College is looking forward to a season that includes tough non-conference and conference games in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The 52-game slate includes 23 home games at the Ballpark at Jackson, Pugh Bourne Park, Union University in Jackson, TN, and 47 total games against 2023 NCAA regional teams.
The Dragons open the season on the road February 1st visiting Blue Mountain University (Miss.) for a two-game set, then a tough non-conference three-game series with William Woods University Feb. 3-4, then it’s first home game of the 2024 season against Union University February 6th. Lane opens SIAC action on the road visiting the Tigers of Benedict College in Columbia, SC, Feb 17-18th, in a three-game series. Lane also hosts Albany State as its first home conference game at Union University in Jackson, TN.
Among the other tough non-conference opponents Lane has scheduled this coming season are Henderson State University on February 9th, Young Harris College in a home and home non-conference series on March 6th in Jackson, TN then travel to Young Harris GA March 13th, and Harding University April 9th.
