We are not in the business of promoting or endorsing products, but we want to give a “hats off” to Ebbets Field Flannels. If you are familiar with this company, you’ll understand the pun. If you are not, Ebbets Field Flannels is a company specializing in reproductions of vintage sports team garments (flannel jerseys, t-shirts, etc.) and ballcaps. Among its baseball offering, Ebbets Field Flannels produces vintage styles for minor league teams (defunct and current), negro league teams and recently added a line of college baseball reproductions.
Represented in the collegiate line are throw-back uniforms and caps from longtime college baseball powers Florida State University (1954 style cap/1967 style jersey), University of Miami (1958 style cap/1947 style jersey) and Louisiana State University (1966 style cap/1960 style jersey)… as well as many others.
And now our “hats go off” to Ebbets Field Flannels for recognizing three great HBCU programs in Grambling University (1963 style cap/1963 style jersey), Southern University (1969 style cap/1959 style jersey) and Florida A&M University (1969 style cap/1965 style jersey).
The three schools’ caps and jerseys are exquisite and exact reproductions of those worn by some of the best black college baseball teams of all time. You can take a look at Grambling’s, Southern’s and FAMU’s caps and jerseys on Ebbets Field Flannels’ website here.
