Fourteen Kentucky State Baseball Student-Athletes Receive NCAA Division II 2022 Academic Achievement Award


The Kentucky State baseball team had 14 of its student-athletes receive the 2022 NCAA DII Athletics Directors Association (ADA) Academic Achievement Award, the athletic department recently announced.

The awards program recognizes the academic accomplishments of collegiate student-athletes. The ADA had the highest number in student history with 16,639 student-athletes from 169 institutions recognized for their 2022 academic achievement. The association stated, “this is the most student-athletes being recognized since the inception of the award’s program.”

The eligibility requirement for the award is that a student-athlete must have a 3.5 or higher-grade point average with a minimum of two years of college level work and be an active member of the institution’s intercollegiate athletic team during the most current academic year.
