The 2016 Bulldogs baseball team added another player to the list of those who will continue their baseball career at the professional level in 2017. Elon Chamberlain, a 6-4 left-handed first basemen and designated hitter, signed a Spring Training contract with the White Sands Pupfish, joining former teammates Javion Randle and Angel Merced as those who have signed a professional contract to date.
The White Sands Pupfish are a professional baseball club in the Pecos League of Professional Baseball Clubs located in Alamogordo, New Mexico, and will begin Spring Training in May 2017.
Chamberlain, a native of Chicago, Illinois, played in 43 games for the Bulldogs with 59 at-bats, as a transfer from Kishwaukee Community College in Malta, Illinois.
