LORMAN, Miss. – Senior Brandon Rembert from the Alcorn State University baseball program was featured in an article recently published by Sports Illustrated.
Rembert will enter his redshirt-senior year in 2021 after his 2020 senior season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He was named to the 2020 Preseason All-Conference First-Team.
In 2019, the Pensacola, Florida native led the team with a .345 batting average and ranked top-five in the SWAC with a .462 on-base percentage.
This past summer, Rembert was recognized as an MLB Draft Player to Watch by Black College Nines. The Sports Illustrated article highlights his ascension from an NAIA JV student-athlete to a Division I MLB Draft prospect.
