Who’s Hot In HBCU Baseball – Week Thirteen

Pitching was dominate during this past weekend’s action as Black College Nines (BCN) continues its season long coverage of Who’s Hot In HBCU Baseball.

 


Jarvis Christian College – Defeat Texas College 4-2

In the Bulldogs final series of the season, Joseph Lyall shut down a very good Texas College offense striking out 12 batters through 8.0 innings of work. The strikeouts were his best performance of the season.

 

 


Winston Salem State University – Defeat St. Augustine’s 4-2

The Rams freshman pitcher Tyrese Hearst started the game went six innings, allowed 3 hits, no runs, and 5 strikeouts. He completed the game with no runs allowed.

 

 

 


West Virginia State University – 4-2 win over Glennview State College

Kenneth Daniels scattered eight hits and struck out seven in 8.0 innings pitched, allowed 2 runs, and 1 earned run to get the game victory.

 

 

 


Coppin State University – Defeat MEAC rivals

Dominate on the hill, Jahmon Taylor did not allow a earned run over 8.0 innings pitched, while striking out eight as Coppin State defeated Delaware State, 4-1, on Saturday. Taylor’s weekend work help improve his record to 5-4 on the season
