Miles College – Defeated conference rival Kentucky State
Dylan Johnson was lights out on the mound in a 10-0 win against the Thorobreds. For the game, Johnson, in 6.0 innings pitched, allowed only two hits, no runs, no earned runs, one walk batter, four strikeouts, faced 19 batters, produced 11 goundouts, and one fly ball for an out in the win.
Prairie View A&M University – beat Grambling State
Tyler Laux threw a complete game on the hill in a 12-2 hammering of Grambling. In 8.0 innings pitched, Laux gave up five hits, two runs, no earned run, striking out three. He faced 33 batters allowed 10 fly outs and 10 ground outs while improving his record to 2-1 on the season.
Florida Memorial University – Defeated No. 16 ranked Keiser University
Christian Rivera had a dominant performance on the mound as the Lions beat the Keiser Seahawks 4-2 in game one of the three-game series. Rivera went the distance (nine innings), allowing only two hits, two runs to cross the plate, two earned runs, while striking out nine. He also recorded 12 fly outs and induced five ground balls for outs, improving to 6-2 on the season.
Lincoln University(PA) – In spite of defeat
Dominic Rheubottom hit two home runs as Lincoln was swept in a two-game series against Salem University. Rheubottom’s feat came as he went 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored and the two home runs, a grand slam in the third inning and a two run shot in the fourth.
