Prairie View A&M University

Michael Dews (3-4) in six innings of work helped lead Prairie View A&M Panthers past the University Arkansas Pine Bluff Golden Lions 14-1. Dews tossed six innings, giving up one run on six hits and striking out eight batters for Prairie View A&M.

 


Bethune Cookman University

Nolan Santos, for the fourth time this season has made the Who’s Hot list for his efforts on the hill. Santos was outstanding again in a complete-game effort, allowing only two runs and three walks while striking out a season-high 13.

 

 


Delaware State University

Evan Bouldin struck out 12 Norfolk State batters in DSU’s 8-7 three-games series finale sweep win. Bouldin, in 5.2 innings, allowed two hits and three runs.

 

Jordan Haddaway, in seven innings on the hill, recorded four hits and struck out nine Norfolk State batters to preserve the 2-0 win.

 


West Virginia State University

Tyler Lafferty earned his fourth win of the season in defeating Glenville State 9-1 in the series opening first game of a four-game series. Lafferty struck out nine batters to tie his career high.

 

 


Savannah State University

Enrico Peele (9-1) in 7.0 innings on the hill allowed six hits, no run, no earned runs while striking out eleven batters in SSU 9-0 win over LeMoyne-Owen in the series finale three-game sweep.

 

 

 


Albany State University

Landon Kiefer had his collegiate best outing on the mound. In a 17-0 defeat of Miles College, Kiefer pitched 7 innings and struck out 14 batters and only allowed 2 hits for the Golden Rams.

 

Honorable Mention:

Grambling State – Rudy Connor (1-0) 7.0 innings struck out 8 Alcorn State batters in their 10-4 win.

Bethune Cookman – Daniel Gavira 7 strikeouts in 6-3 win over Mississippi Valley State.

Kentucky State – Daccarius Chapman 7.0 innings, nines hits, 4 runs, striking out seven batters in 7-4 win over Clark Atlanta.
