Two-Time Black College Nines All-Elite Trey Rutledge Signs New York Mets Pro Contract

Trey Rutledge, twice named a Black College Nines All-Elite outfielder (once each at Miles College and Alabama A&M) signed a professional baseball contract on February 18th with the New York Mets organization.

In his two seasons at Miles College, Trey Rutledge had a.330 batting average with an on base percentage of .501 while collecting 52 stolen bases.  This past season at Alabama A&M, Rutledge led the country (NCAA Division I) with an on base percentage of .573 and led the Bulldogs with a .397 batting average while accumulating 34 stolen bases.

Trey Rutledge will be reporting to the Mets spring training facility in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
