Three Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) baseball teams are listed as being ranked and receiving votes in the Top 10 South Region Poll of the NCAA DII National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released Wednesday. The list includes Albany State, Savannah State, and Kentucky State.
Albany State, the No. 1 ranked HBCU Baseball team in Black College Nines (BCN) “small school” Top 10 Poll, has built a 11-2 record and is ranked No. 9 in NCBWA South Region Top 10. The Golden Rams were ranked tied for the 9th spot last weeks poll ranking.
Savannah State continues to receive votes along with Kentucky State who enters the regional poll for the first time in program’s history. The Tigers are 7-2 overall and 5-1 in the SIAC after taking two of three games from Spring Hill College last weekend.
