Texas Southern’s Kamren Dukes Extends Hitting Streak To 34 Games In NCAA Division I Baseball

Texas Southern University center fielder Kamren Dukes has the longest current hitting streak in NCAA Division I baseball. His run scoring single in the third inning extended his streak to 34 consecutive games, which is the longest active streak this season.

The streak started March 14 against Oklahoma Sooners in a 10-1 defeat, as Dukes went 2 for 3. His streak continued against Grambling State going 1 for 4 on the day.

The longest streak on record belongs to Florida International Garrett Wittels who carried a 56-game hitting streak into 2011. Dukes has reached base safely in 41 consecutive games which has helped his hitting streak this season. In my opinion, there have been a lot of great players that have come through Texas Southern baseball and Dukes is without question is one of them.
