The Great Falls Voyagers signed Southern University outfielder Jaylen Armstrong to a contract for the 2023 season. Armstrong hit .330 in 46 games, scored 49 runs, 63 hits, 10 doubles, 5 home runs, 39 runs batted in and 38 stolen bases in 2023.
Before coming to Southern, Armstrong attended Holmes Community College in Goodman, MS. While there he received the NJCAA 2nd Team All-State.
Armstrong’s career stats at Southern University include a .314 batting average in 119 games with 19 doubles, 5 triples, 8 home runs, and 76 runs batted in. He also stole 63 bases.
