The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its baseball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
Timothy Whiteman (Morehouse) was named Player of the Week, while Will Valenti (Edward Waters) earned Pitcher of the Week honors.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Timothy Whiteman, Morehouse
Third Base | Freshman
In five games, MHC’s freshman third baseman Timothy Whiteman finished with a batting average of .444, with a .667 on-base percentage, and a .889 slugging percentage. He had a two-run homers in a win against Clark Atlanta and had a double and two runs scored in a 7-3 win over Vorhees.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Will Valenti, Edward Waters

In six innings pitched, EWU’s junior pitcher Will Valenti finished with no errors, three hits, two walks, and 10 strikeouts in the Tigers’ 10-2 win over Claflin. At the start of the season, Edward Waters split both games of a doubleheader against their longtime rival Florida Memorial, winning 5-3 in Game One, but dropping Game Two 6-1 in 11 innings. Valenti went four innings and recorded five strikeouts in the matchup, earning a no-decision.
