According to reliable sources, the Historically Black College and University Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) will, not surprisingly, become one of the top competing baseball conferences in the NAIA.
While HBCUAC sponsors its baseball members, the conference will expand from the current 11 members to 13 when Arkansas Baptist College and Morris College, make the move later this year.
With a stacked baseball conference, the HBCUAC can send two conference members to play in the NAIA National Opening Round Tournament as the conference and regular season champions.
Black College Nines previews the 2025 HBCUAC baseball season and predicts the order of finish, as some conference members seasons start with the Dillard University Inaugural HBCU Battle of Divisions Baseball Invitational, set to ignite the 2025 baseball season with thrilling matchups from January 31-February 2, 2025, at the famed Wesley Barrow Stadium, home of the MLB Youth Academy in New Orleans.
As expected, the conference will cannibalize itself throughout the conference schedule, and it’ll be interesting to see how many teams will wind up in the postseason tournament following the conference tournament, the 2025 Black College World Series, and the NAIA National Tournament.
