Bluefield State University has hired Scott Considine as its new head baseball coach. Considine brings an extensive resume to the Big Blue program which includes postseason success.
Considine arrived in Bluefield, West Virginia after spending the previous three seasons as the assistant coach on the baseball staff at Southern New Hampshire University, helping lead the team to conference and regional championships, as well as two appearances in the NCAA Division II College World Series.
Coach Considine has a wealth of coaching experience from his time at Kentucky Christian and West Virginia Tech University, as well as at high school, American Legion, and travel ball programs. In the North Carolina Next Level Baseball League, he led his team to a top-20 national ranking in Perfect Game, as well as a No. 1 ranking in the region and state of North Carolina.
He is known to mentor with professionalism, diligence, commitment, dedication, responsibility, and integrity.
Considine takes over the baseball program after Bluefield State claimed its second national title, winning the Black College World Series this past May. The Big blue won the school’s first-ever national championship in the inaugural event in 2021.
Scott Considine, a former military veteran, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University.
