The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) has released its weekly NCAA Division II Regional polls. Savannah State continues to garner votes this week moving up in the latest South Region DII Top 10 released Wednesday April 6.
In the South Region, The Tigers rank seventh in Top 10 regional poll, up one spot from last week’s previous No. 8 ranking. Savannah State’s current record is 24-6 and 20-1 in the SIAC which includes a nine-game winning streak after sweeping conference foe Miles College in a three-game series to claim first place.
The win over Miles was their sixth consecutive SIAC series sweep. The last loss Savannah State suffered in the conference was a 17-13 high scoring affair February 19 against Kentucky State.
