Savannah State’s Enrico Peele to Play in Professional Developmental MLB Draft League

Former Savannah State University pitcher Enrico Peele has been signed to an MLB Draft League contract and will suit up for the Williamsport CrossCutters.

The MLB Draft League is the professional developmental league run on behalf of Major League Baseball for players who have exhausted their college eligibility. It is a six-team baseball league with locations in Frederick (MD), Trenton (NJ), Williamsport (PA), State College (PA), Morgantown (WV), and Mahoning Valley (OH). Teams play 50 games starting on July 7th and concluding on September 2nd.

Enrico Peele played for Savannah State from 2019-2023 and pitched in 49 games for the Tigers, including 29 starts. In 189.1 innings, he struck out 152 batters while having a 3.52 ERA with 25 wins and only six losses. As a senior, he recorded 63.1 innings pitched with a 10-1 record and 57 strikeouts in 11 appearances.
