Preseason Overview:

The Edward Waters University Tigers return to the diamond this upcoming spring with some notable changes. After finishing 26-24 overall and 16-13 in their first full season in the SAIC conference, the Tigers look to improve in all areas of the game.

The Tigers added pitching coach Jared Brown to take the pitching staff to a higher level of competition. Coach Brown brings a wealth of knowledge that will be key to the pitchers development and success. RHP Alexander Davila and LHP Austin James return to lead the staff along side fellow returnees RHP Cameron Chastain and RHP Luis Valero. Both Chastain and Valero who were injured last season will be big contributors this year.

The Tigers also return seven of the eight position players from last year. Backstop Anthony Roman and 3B Hugo Schoening look to lead the Tigers into a successful 2024 campaign. They will be joined with key newcomers, transfer OF Tory Jones, freshman MIF Misael Ramos, freshman C/RHP Jeremy Nieves, transfer MIF Dave Mitchum and transfer catcher JeanCarlos Medina. After seeing the challenges that they faced last year, the Tigers have made their adjustments and are prepared to have a great season.
