For all his adult life, Noah Suarez has been involved in baseball – as a player, a coach, and a fan of the game. Suarez’s passion for the game and desire to be a mentor and coach made Suarez the clear choice to become the head baseball coach for Philander Smith College.
To say Suarez has enjoyed his share of success in baseball would be an understatement. After an acclaimed high school career in Newton Falls in Ohio, Suarez played collegiately at Salem International University.
Suarez decided to stay within the game as a coach at Salem International after his playing time there. He was the infield and hitting Coach.
Suarez was also a general manager of the Beach Collegiate Baseball League (BCBL) Little River Lagoon. They were the 2022 BCBL Champs this past season.
His success helped him to land the Philander Smith coaching opportunity. Taking on a larger role as head coach hitting coach, and recruiting coordinator, Suarez will set a high standard for himself and his first-year program.
Suarez has big plans to grow the program. Establishing a competitive but enjoyable atmosphere is key to building a baseball program that will prosper for years to come, and with his experience and leadership, he plans on making that happen.
