NC A&T will begin its 2018 NCAA postseason campaign against North Carolina, Friday June 1st at 2:00 p.m.
After finishing its 2018 season with the most wins (32) in programs history, NC A&T received a regional bid for the first time since 2005. Playing a tough non conference schedule against No. 7 North Carolina, No. 11 North Carolina State, and No. 28 South Carolina, the Aggies received votes in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Top 30 poll.
North Carolina A&T went undefeated in the MEAC Conference Championship and won the title for the first time in 13 years. They also claimed the MEAC Southern Division title setting a school record for wins and a school record for conference wins.
The four-team regional is a double-elimination tournament. The winner advances to the Super Regional. If the Aggies win that tournament, they go to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska to compete for a national title.
