The Lane College baseball team took part in the Music City Diamond Classic on Saturday against Tuskegee University at First Horizon Park.
Lane (8-14) wasted no time getting on the board as the Dragons scored in each of their first three at-bats, including a three run third inning highlighted by an RBI double from Kalum Banks.
The teams traded scoreless innings until Lane again posted a three spot in the seventh inning behind RBI sinlges from Banks, Javien Woods, and Jahneal Armstrong.
Chris O’Neal rounded out the scoring with a solo home run in the eighth inning.
Thomas Arias (2-2) earned the win in 8.0 innings of dominate work. Arias, who did not allow a hit until the fourth inning, surrendered only one hit and struck out five batters.
Banks finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
