The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its baseball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
Jordan Smith (Lane) was named Player of the Week, while Kolton Easterwood (Miles) earned Pitcher of the Week honors.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Jordan Smith, Lane Outfield | Senior | Birmingham, AL Smith went 4-for-7 with two home runs, two runs scored, and three RBI while slugging 1.429 in two games against LeMoyne-Owen.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Kolton Easterwood, Miles Pitcher | 5’9 | Freshman | Cullman, AL Easterwood pitched five shutout innings in helping Miles to its first victory of the season. He allowed just four hits – all singles – with no walks and four strikeouts as the Golden Bears won 23-1 over Stillman.
