Hornets Return Home For Three-Game Set Against UT-Martin

Alabama State returns home after a mid-week contest on the road on Wednesday, hosting UT-Martin for the first time at the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex. The three-game series is set to begin on Friday with first pitch scheduled for 6 pm, while Saturday’s matchup is scheduled for the same time. The series concludes with a single game on Sunday at 1 pm.

Tickets are currently on sale at the Alabama State University Ticket Office and can be purchased the day of the game. Masks are required on the campus of Alabama State and inside all athletic venues along with social distancing, and all concessions are cashless.

  • Alabama State and UT-Martin will meet for the first time in school history this weekend, and will mark the first weekend series at the Wheeler-Watkins Baseball Complex this season.
  • The Hornets will return to the same rotation they opened the season with at the Andre Dawson Classic on opening weekend with junior left-hander Jeremy Rivera (Toa Alta, PR) getting the start on Friday night. He will be followed by a pair of right-handers in Breon Pooler (Huntsville, Ala.) on Saturday and Austin King (Fulton, Miss.) on Sunday.
