Heading into this weekend’s many Historically Black College and University (HBCU) baseball games, which begin Friday (4/3/2015). The weekend success a lot of schools have by making adjustments to key match-ups. Playing a 55 game schedule is critically important, especially when you play conference games. All weekend games are important.
Finding the right balance to win, coaches try to find that fourth starter usually from the bullpen or a freshman who is playing like a senior. Any persuasion comes from being in a position because you need that other starter to get through the conference. Weekend series are very crucial.
Weekend victories generally awaits conference tournament. With the 2015 regular baseball season at its midpoint, it is necessary to win a conventional three-game series this season. You have to be perfect both offensively and defensively, score a ton of runs and pitch swing and miss baseball. That is the urgency of each weekend action in HBCU baseball. If you throw strikes and make plays, you have a chance to win. That’s the reality of playing for any HBCU baseball program.
