HBCU Baseball Weekend in Review Week Three – Small School Division

Edward Waters Tigers and Marian University played an extremely rare three consecutive games against each other on the same date Saturday. Marian won the first game of the tripleheader 9-5, EWC won the second game 8-7 and the series final game 2-1.

The Savannah State baseball team completed the three-game sweep against SIAC conference rivals LeMoyne-Owens College over the weekend.  The Tiger won game one on Friday, 13-7, followed by taking both games on Saturday, 22-0 and 8-7.

Albany State won two of three hosting Miles College to win the three-game series over the weekend. The Golden Rams open the series with a 10-2 nine-inning win, split a doubleheader with Miles winning 17-7 in game two victory before falling 17-8 in the series finale.

Kentucky State scored 33 runs over the weekend handing Clark Atlanta a 17-2 and 16-4 doubleheader lose.
