HBCU Baseball Weekend in Review Week Ten – Small School Division

Albany State Golden Rams, on a nine game winning streak, swept the Morehouse Tigers in a 3-game series. The Golden Rams improved to 21-7 (20-3 in the SIAC).

West Virginia State split its doubleheader falling in the opening contest 3-2 to Mountain East Conference South Division foe Concord University, but came back to win the nightcap by the same score.

The Virginia State Trojans split with Mid-Atlantic Christian after winning 19-5 thanks to hitting five home runs in the contest. The Trojans went on to drop the second game 6-5.

Lincoln University baseball earned a victory over East Coast Conference foe University of Bridgeport winning 5-2 Friday. It marks the third straight season the Lions have claimed at least one victory over the Purple Knights.

The Clark Atlanta University Panthers swept a three-game series against Benedict College in Columbia, S.C. The Panthers scored 44 runs over the weekend winning game one 15-4, game two 15-11, and the series finale 14-9.
