Prairie View A&M University Panthers earned a weekend series sweep over Southern with a 12-4 win in game one on Friday, a 7-2 victory in game two on Saturday, and the final game of the series 3-2 on Sunday.
Jackson State University won the weekend series taking two of three from Florida A&M. JSU opened the weekend with a 3-2 defeat in game one on Thursday, bounced back with a 15-6 victory Friday, and won the finale game of the series 8-2 on Saturday.
Delaware State University Hornets clinched a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) series win over Norfolk State with a 4-2 win in Saturday’s finale. The Hornets took three out of the four games this week.
University of Maryland Eastern Shore split its four-game series with Coppin State, taking Thursday’s game 7-6 in 10 innings, split Friday’s doubleheader winning game one 3-1 then a 7-0 loss in the second game. Coppin State then evened the series handing UMES a 6-2 defeat.
