Florida A&M baseball team took control of first place in the MEAC Southern Division and clinched a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) tournament bid by winning a hard-fought doubleheader sweep of North Carolina A&T Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 victory in game one and a 5-3 triumph in game two. The Rattlers’ also won 7-6 over the Aggies on Friday night.

The University of Arkansas Pine Bluff baseball team won its third consecutive game in Saturday’s doubleheader, taking down Grambling State University 9-8 in game one and 18-9 in game two to complete and completing the three-game sweep of the Tigers. The Golden Lions scored a combined 41 runs in the three games versus Grambling State, winning game one Friday 14-6.

The North Carolina Central University baseball program scored in all eight innings as it walked off with an 11-1 win over Delaware State in the bottom of the eighth to win the series on Sunday after splitting Saturday’s doubleheader with a 15-6 win in game one before losing the second game 3-2.

Alabama State completed it’s 2021 regular season scoring 58 runs over the weekend to sweep Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) foe Alabama A&M and improve to 23-17 overall, 14-7 SWAC.

Jackson State defeated Mississippi Valley State 12-1 and finished SWAC play with a perfect 24-0 record.
