Grambling State split a non conference doubleheader hosting Tennessee-Martin winning 5-2 in Game 1 but lost a tough 6-5, 12-inning affair, in game 2. UT eventually won the series.

No. 1 Jackson State (HBCU Baseball “large school” Top 10 poll), defeated Alabama A&M 14-3 in Friday night’s series opener then swept the weekend series improved to 14-6 overall and 9-0 in the conference.

Alabama State won the weekend opening series game 6-0 hosting SWAC conference rival Alcorn State. The Hornets won its scheduled doubleheader 10-9 and 11-1 on Saturday to complete the weekend sweep of Alcorn State.

The hot hitting Norfolk State baseball team secured a doubleheader sweep of Coppin State on Saturday by scores of 10-5 and 9-3. The Spartans took three of four wins in the four-game weekend conference tilt.

Florida A&M swept the weekend three-games series against MEAC divisional foe defeating North Carolina A&T by scores of 6-4 this past Friday, 4-3 on Saturday afternoon and 12-7 on Sunday completing the sweep at Moore-Kittles field.
