HBCU Baseball Large School Opening Weekend 2018

The HBCU Baseball “large school” division season begins this weekend. Black College Nines looks to answer the question, who will be the last team standing in HBCU baseball? A slew of non-conference and conference match-ups begin the weekend action. As I’ve stated before, “college baseball is really about four seasons – the non-conference schedule, the conference schedule, the postseason including the conference tournament and if it is really good, a national tournament.”

What’s in store for 2018?

Notable Storylines: Bethune Cookmen University will be determined to return to NCAA Regional’s this spring in what will be head coach Barrett Shaft first season. He inherits a team that went 36-25 last season. They return nearly everybody…

Omar Johnson is looking for his eleventh 30 win season at the helm of Jackson State baseball program.

Can head coach James Cooper lead heavy hitting Grambling State University to another West Division SWAC title?

Will North Carolina A&T Aggies win the MEAC regular season title?
