The Harris-Stowe State University baseball team is gearing up for their 2022 season. With an impressive lineup, the Hornets’ season will start in Kansas City, Missouri, in February.
Harris-Stowe will open the season with a doubleheader Avila University of Missouri on February 18th, followed by another doubleheader against Lincoln College (Illinois) on February 19th. The Hornets will travel to Marshall, Missouri, to face Missouri Valley College on February 22nd in a doubleheader.
Harris-Stowe will compete in the Rube Foster Classic on February 25th and 26th, in Kansas City, Missouri. On the 25th, HSSU will face off against Baker University and Northwestern College of Iowa. They will wrap up the classic on the 26th against Central Methodist University of Missouri and Midamerica Nazarene University.
Hornet fans, Harris-Stowe will open their 2022 home season against Lincoln Christian University in a doubleheader on March 3rd. On March, 5th, the team will host Peru State College in a doubleheader. The first three game series of the season will be against Madonna University on March 11th and 12th.
On March 15th, Iowa Wesleyan University will try their luck in Stars Park as they compete against Harris-Stowe in a doubleheader.
On March 18th and 19th, the Hornets will start American Midwest Conference play against Williams Baptist. On March 25th and 26th, we will see HSSU travel to Conway, Arkansas, to face Central Baptist.
The month of April will start quickly for Harris-Stowe, as the team will travel to Fulton, Missouri to face William Woods University on the 1st and 2nd. On April 5th, the Hornets will face their final non-conference opponent in Fontbonne University at 7:00 pm. The contest will be played at Fontbonne.
Lyon College will host Harris-Stowe on April 15th and 16th in Batesville, Arkansas. Traveling will continue for HSSU the following weekend when the team travels to Hannibal, Missouri, to face Hannibal-Lagrange.
The final series of the season will be at Stars Park on April 29th and 30th, when the Hornets host Missouri Baptist. This will also count as Senior Weekend.
