The Trinidad Triggers have signed former Jarvis Christian College standout Javion Randle to a baseball contract for the upcoming 2017 season. Randle, 22 (6-2, 200lbs) recorded one of the most outstanding careers in the history of Bulldog baseball. The four-year starter never left the lineup since his freshman year.
By the end of his freshman year, he was hitting third in the order and went on to post a .340 average. He raised his average to .349 as a sophomore then hit .370 last year. This past 2016 season, Randle led the nation in hitting, finished with 96 hits .480 batting average in 56 games, tops in the nation.
Randle joins Red River Athletic Conference foe former Wiley College baseball player Erick Magee as teammates in the Pecos League. Coming off of hip surgery (Torn Labrum) Randle is expected to be ready opening day.
