Former HBCU Pitcher Called Up To Major Leagues

Former Southern University Jaguars right-hander Cody Hall was called up by the San Francisco Giants as major league baseball expands active rosters to 40 players. The Giants called up Hall from its farm system affiliate Triple-A Sacramento seizing upon the arrival of September and adding to the playoff push to lend a hand during the final month of the regular season.

Hall, drafted by San Francisco 19th round in 2011, will make his Major League debut with his first appearance. He was 1-3 with a 3.46 ERA and three saves in 43 appearances for Sacramento.
