Fall Baseball Report: Florida A&M University

The 2025 season will be a “big-time” rebuilding year for the Rattlers.  However, FAMU does return SWAC Pitcher of the Year, senior Caleb Granger who had a 9-2 record with a 2.87 ERA in 2024.

FAMU also returns starting catcher, junior Brody Poppell, who hit .324, with 7 home runs in 2024.  Brody played this past summer in the Valley League and led the league in stolen bases.  He was also one of the league’s top hitters and is expected to be drafted after the 2025 season.

Other returners who should impact the 2025 season for FAMU include sophomore lefthanded pitcher Carson Kelly, senior righthanded pitchers Tanner Walker and Cody Williams, senior infielder Jalen Niles, and junior outfielders Ben Kim and Jordan Brown.

New players who should impact 2025 include freshman lefthanded pitcher Garrett Workman, junior college transfer outfielder Justin Crews, and  Jay Campbell.
