The Bluefield State Baseball team released the 2021 schedule on Tuesday afternoon. For the full schedule, click here.
Due to the forced hiatus last year by COVID-19 the season was cut short, However, the season will be in full swing Thursday, February 18. The Bluefield State Athletics Department announced the new hire of Head Coach Drew Bailey Monday, January 25.
The 2021 season will consist of 37 regular-season games of which 14 of those will be home games hosted at Bowen Field in Bluefield, VA. The Big Blue season will kick off on the road starting Thursday, February 18 the Big Blue will travel up north to play Salem at Frank Loria Memorial Field at 1 p.m.
The team will then head south to Rome, Georgia to play Shorter University on Saturday, February 20 for a doubleheader beginning at noon and a final game on that Sunday against Shorter at 1 p.m. The following weekend the Big Blue will be hosted by Carolina University on February 26-27.
Bluefield State baseball will host their first home game against West Virginia State University on Wednesday, March 3 at Bowen Field.
All games will be broadcast on the Big Blue Sports Network by the voice of the Big Blue, Zach Helton.
