In its preseason predictions, Baseball America has released the 2025 Preseason NCAA Tournament Projected Field of 64 for Division I baseball teams.
This year, the Jackson State Tigers are Baseball America’s favorite to be the representative from the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) projected to make the NCAA Regional tournament field of 64 teams as they seek a path to Omaha for the College World Series.
If Jackson State wins the conference tournament outright, they will receive an automatic bid as the sole representative from the SWAC, but this is contingent upon the Tigers winning the championship game of the tournament.
Baseball America has projected Jackson State as the fourth seed in the Gainesville Regional in Gainesville, FL.
During the 2024 campaign, Jackson State finished with a record of 36-20, including a 16-12 record in the conference.
Baseball America will update its projected field throughout the season. Here is Baseball America’s initial 2025 Preseason Projected Field of 64.
