Albany State Baseball Debuts at No. 10 in NCBWA NCAA Division II Top 10 South Region Poll While Savannah State Receives Votes

Albany State makes its first ranking appearance of the season in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) South Region NCAA Division II Top 10 Poll released this week.

The Golden Rams started the season 16-7 overall and 13-2 in the SIAC. The baseball program is currently on a seven-game winning streak with its most recent three-game sweep over Spring Hill College. Albany State last loss came on March 6 against Georgia Southwestern University in a 6-4 contest.

The No. 10 ranking is Albany’s highest since its No. 8 ranking in the NCBWA South Region Poll on March 22, 2023.

The Golden Rams are riding an 8-game winning streak in the SIAC. They have outscored opponents 99-33 in those conference games.

The Savannah State baseball team, which is 16-5 overall and 11-4 in SIAC conference play, was ranked as high as No. 8 this season (March 7) are now receiving votes in the same NCAA Division II Top 10 South Region Poll.
