Xavier University (Louisiana) infielder Jose Fulgencio has been recognized as the Association of Independent Institutions’ Baseball Hitter of the Week.
Fulgencio hit .556 (5-for-9), had two doubles and five RBIs and scored five runs as Xavier won all four games last week. The infielder from Orlando, Florida, posted a .778 slugging percentage and .667 on-base percentage as Xavier twice defeated Tougaloo College (Mississippi) and Southeastern Baptist College (Mississippi).
