The Braves lost the first game of Friday’s series opener 7-4 but won Saturday’s second game 15-12 in 11 innings. They secured the series with a 21-8 victory on Sunday, resulting in a 2-1 series win.
The Voorhees College Tigers swept Philander Smith University in a three-game series, winning 23-17 and 12-1 on Friday and securing the sweep with a 20-14 victory on Saturday. Voorhees scored 55 runs, had 60 hits, and hit 14 home runs in the series.
