For the 2025 season, Claflin baseball stands on the leadership of transfer Xavier Campbell who will start on the mound. He’s been consistently 90-92 mph throughout the fall. Louisburg College transfer Elijah Bonner has been 89-93 on the mound while also vying for time in the outfield.
Claflin baseball has arguably the best outfield group in D2 baseball with a ton of speed in transfers Neo Drew, Devin Tallington, Albert Rutledge, and Christian Hill.
Top two-way players are, Elijah Bonner junior transfer from Lewisburg College (RHP/OF), and Duane Henderson grad student (returning RHP/OF).
This fall we have seen huge strides from freshman shortstop Aiden McDaniel who has a ton of ability and plays the game maturely. Also, freshman pitchers Daniel Brown, Conner Polk, Jarin Johnson, and LHP Isaiah Mitchell have made tremendous strides from the fall scrimmage. These guys are the deciding factors in the way this season progresses.
