Coppin State’s baseball team opened NEC conference play with a doubleheader sweep of Merrimack on Friday afternoon March 8 at Joe Cannon Stadium. The Eagles won the opener, 7-4, before defeating the Warriors, 5-4 in 12 innings in game two.

The Norfolk State baseball team closed its first home weekend with a victory in 11 innings of play, beating Central Connecticut State 5-4 on a walk-off single from Jamal Ritter.
