Florida Memorial University swept a four-game series from Harris Stowe State University in the HBCU Spring Break Tourney.
Coppin State University
Coppin State’s baseball team opened NEC conference play with a doubleheader sweep of Merrimack on Friday afternoon March 8 at Joe Cannon Stadium. The Eagles won the opener, 7-4, before defeating the Warriors, 5-4 in 12 innings in game two.
Norfolk State University
The Norfolk State baseball team closed its first home weekend with a victory in 11 innings of play, beating Central Connecticut State 5-4 on a walk-off single from Jamal Ritter.
Mississippi Valley State University
Mississippi Valley State took two of three games from the University of Arkansas Pine-Bluff… winning game 1, 13-2, losing game 2, 5-4, and winning the series finale 6-4.
North Carolina A&T University
North Carolina A&T earned a convincing 13-1 win over University of South Florida to improve to 11-4 on the season.
Miles College
Miles ran past LeMoyne-Owen to sweep a three-game series over the weekend 13-0 (7 innings), 10-4, and 13-2 (7 innings).
Wiley University
Wiley baseball swept its Gulf Coast Athletic Conference three-game series against Dillard. The Wild Cats scored 35 runs in the weekend contest and defeated Dillard 11-4, 11-10, and the series finale 13-0.
Albany State University
Albany State swept its doubleheader of SIAC conference foe Kentucky State Sunday. The first game was won by the score of 14-11 and the second game was won 6-1.
