Milton Barney has been named the head coach of the Mississippi Valley State baseball program as announced by the athletic department Thursday.
Sources are stating the interest Mississippi Valley State received from coaches across the country was significant. Ultimately, Barney’s track record set him apart from the field. He’s made an immediate impact at every coaching level, and he is an energetic, innovative, and focused coach. I am confident he is ready to bring a SWAC championship to Itta Bena, Mississippi.
Barney will be introduced in a scheduled press conference at the President’s Suite of the R.W. Harrison HPER complex on Friday, August 19, 2022.
