Florida A&M University Headed To The Atlantic Regional To Begin NCAA Tournament Play

Florida A&M baseball will head north to Atlanta, Georgia this week in the NCAA Regional Tournament. The Rattler earned an automatic bid as the champions of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).

The 64-team field was unveiled Monday.

FAMU (27-32), clinched the MEAC tournament title and will open its first NCAA appearance since 2015 when they last played in the Gainsville Regional.

Florida A&M will take on the No. 6 national seed Georgia Tech in the Atlantic Regional when rplay begins on Friday May 31st.

The Atlantic tournament field has four teams including Georgia Tech, Auburn, Coastal Carolina and Florida A&M.

4 Florida A&M (27-32)

The Atlantic Regional is FAMUs second NCAA tournament appearance under Coach Jamey Shouppe. In his six seasons at FAMU, the Rattlers also played in the 2015 tournament. Their last appearance in the NCAA Tournament before Shouppe arrived was hired was in 1995.
